… Americans. Instead of lowering costs, these imports help finance Putin’s war against Ukraine and a campaign of violence and terror that endangers our servicemembers abroad.Today, I sent a letter putting New Jersey’s port and terminal operators on notice: importing Russian diesel violates federal law and could carry serious civil and criminal consequences. New Jersey will not stand by while Donald Trump supports Vladimir Putin at the expense of Americans. Instead of lowering costs, these imports help finance Putin’s war against Ukraine and a campaign of violence and terror that endangers our servicemembers abroad. As a Navy veteran, I cannot let that stand unchallenged. Our ports must not be complicit.

Governor Mikie Sherrill has set her priorities in an upside down and backwards way:
Illegal alien oil must be blocked from entry to New Jersey ports. Even as gas and diesel prices are high and hurting Americans.
But illegal alien people must not be deported. Instead, they must be given sanctuary in New Jersey so it keeps its power in Congress and doesn’t lose it due to population of lawful U.S. citizens to the Sunbelt. Sherrill supported codifying NJ’s “sanctuary” policy in the so-called Immigrant Trust Directive.
There’s one way in which both her block on alien oil and her welcoming arms for illegal aliens are logically consistent, and it’s not because she wants to follow federal law.
It’s that both the ban on alien oil and her welcome to illegal aliens both badly hurt New Jersey citizens. The alien oil staying out will keep fuel prices high. And the illegal aliens coming in will keep housing prices high.
She needs to get down from her haughty pulpit and stop pretending she is full of virtue.
She’s full of vinegar for New Jerseyans.
