It’s All There
… what happened to our dollar when we separated from gold in 1971.At Fort Knox, we've come to see the gold!
— Senator Rand Paul (@SenRandPaul) August 10, 2026
Our country has about a hundred and forty-seven million ounces of gold, and about half of it is stored here at Fort Knox.
We're gonna be going deep underground to see the gold, but more importantly, we're gonna be talking today about… pic.twitter.com/qNtHkVMQzg
I'm going underground, and I'll let you know what I see in a little bit.
… weaker.Yes, the gold is there all (approximately) 147 million ounces. It is impressive, but the real point is what it still teaches in 2026.

In 1971 we severed the dollar from gold. Since then the currency has lost roughly 85% of its value. Prices are higher because the money itself is…
A family making $50,000 with two kids that has not received a 25% raise in the last five years is falling behind.
This is now often called “affordability,” but the the accurate word is inflation.
We run annual deficits of two trillion dollars. The Federal Reserve buys about a third of that debt by creating new money. Every new dollar dilutes the value of the dollars already in people’s pockets. Gold does not expand when Congress spends. Paper does. That is the difference.

John Solomon on the Jeff Sessions Documents
Today, the White House Government Transparency Task Force released records declassified by President Trump showing how the FBI in May 2017 opened a criminal probe against AG Jeff Sessions into whether he made false statements. The probe was codenamed March Toll.
Like Oxferd Comma, the March Toll probe relied on flimsy evidence: a letter from two Democrat senators that was weeks old and a story from the left-leaning Huffington Post. https://t.co/rrpuQZXo2d pic.twitter.com/UjAhqX00Xr

Jeff Sessions Was Railroaded
… Sessions was that he failed to disclose two routine meet-and-greets with the Russian ambassador, the sort of encounters countless people in Washington had. But that was not what Sessions had actually been asked. He was asked whether he had been in contact with Russian officials about the 2016 election. He said no, because he had not.Jeff Sessions is by all accounts a good man, but as attorney general he was hopelessly weak. Even so, it is difficult not to feel sorry for him when you see just how thoroughly he was railroaded over something so transparently false and contrived.

Then, as this newly released letter shows, Senators Leahy and Franken complained to Comey about his testimony, and the FBI promptly opened an investigation into Sessions.
The whole thing was totally contrived from beginning to end. Yet the media will never tell the truth, Wikipedia remains riddled with lies about it, and history will sadly remember Jeff Sessions as the man who “lied about his contacts with Russia,” rather than as one of the earliest victims of a grotesquely corrupt political operation.
