The Decision Was Made About Three Weeks Before Election Day

… "I wasn't asked to resign," she said. "I resigned three weeks ago." Attorney General Todd Blanche accepted the resignation today and praised her for defending civil liberties and enforcing the law without fear or favor. Dhillon said she accomplished what she came to Washington to do, including shifting Civil Rights away from DEI and toward religious liberty, women's sports, the Second Amendment, and election integrity, and that she wants to return to private practice.

Democrats are about to get the subpoena power, and she is leaving after roughly 19 months of rewriting a division conservatives long said had been captured. She told Fox she has done nothing that would require a pardon, and that any testimony would go through legal counsel because of executive privilege. Love her or not, she was one of the few people at DOJ actually fighting on election integrity and civil rights the way Republicans said they wanted. Watching who replaces her will tell you a lot about what comes next.
