Edward Coristine’s Last Day

… Everyone on the team could be making way more money somewhere else, but they chose to do this because it’s the best way to make a lot of people's lives actually better.

I think the whole point of engineering is to build something people actually need, that is going to be valuable to them. At NDS, "people" meant hundreds of millions of Americans.

You get to shape what it feels like to be a citizen of the best country on Earth. You don't get to do that anywhere else.

I've gotten to watch some of the most talented engineers and designers I know take pay cuts and give up sleep to make technology better for Americans. The team is still cooking. They're still building, growing, and improving https://t.co/1kM2wLo6dO, and there's so much ahead.

I am looking forward to trying my hand at something new, and I'll really miss the team. But if you're an engineer or designer and you care about the experience of being an American and how technology shapes it, you should go and talk to Joe and the team. There is nothing better you could be working on.

USA First Lab

Ed walked into the federal government at 19, when he had everything on the line, and gave it everything he had.

At DOGE, he worked inside almost all agencies like Social Security and OPM, State Department, HHS, working on decades-old systems, while the press made him a target over a nickname. He was busy being a patriot rooting out fraud and saved Americans over $215 billion.

At @ndstudio , he became head of engineering, where he launched

• http://America.gov One front door to 29,000 federal websites and 40 million daily visits
• Every federal agency now required to plug into it
• Rampart, the open-source privacy filter he co-built that strips your personal information on your own device, then made 10x smaller with Rampart Edge
• Senior, affordable and public housing resources and fraud reporting, now live
• First-time passports fully online, starting next year
•http://America.gov/fraud, so any American can help go after the hundreds of billions the government loses to fraud every year, and get up to $30,000 for an eligible tip

And he was part of the team that shipped TrumpRx bringing the cheapest medicine to all Americans, Trump Accounts for American children, where millions of kids with no planned financial future now have an investment account to build one, and federal retirement off paper for good.

He made the digital and living experience of being an American better for hundreds of millions of people, and he's 20.

There will never be another Patriot like Edward Coristine.

Thank you, Ed. 🇺🇸
