Fedorov noted neither he nor Zelenskyy controlled the battlefield commanders. The Ukraine military operates independently, much like a mercenary unit; however, the commanders tell the government what to do. Those same commanders also require and demand generous financing, which is ultimately why Zelenskyy keeps asking for more money to pay their indulgency fees. Ukraine military operates depending on who is paying them in cash, crypto or bullion. The leadership have very nice lifestyles outside Ukraine. That's the non-pretending reality of the matter, and every U.S-EU-NATO politician is very well aware of it.
