Filipino Illegal Aliens in Hawaii

… undocumented Filipinos in Hawaiʻi, most of them visa overstays who came on tourist papers and stayed.

We are a year and a half into this administration. They did not have to self-deport, because the interior pace here is still a trickle.

FAIR estimates put Hawaiʻi at about 51,000 illegal aliens total and a taxpayer hit near $771 million a year. Civil Beat’s ICE tallies show why that number barely moves: through mid-October 2025, Hawaiʻi had about 194 ICE arrests and about 106 removals. Against 23,000 Filipino illegal aliens alone, that is not mass removal.

American taxpayers eat the cost. Housing is tighter. Cost of living stays jacked. I asked DHS why so few illegal aliens in Hawaiʻi get detained. Waiting on an answer.
