The vaccination-status tab in Epic (an electronic system hospitals use for health records) disappeared during COVID then, one day, quietly reappeared after the pandemic.

Kory argued that the implications could be enormous. At the same time, Americans were being shown charts comparing hospitalizations among vaccinated and unvaccinated people, data used to persuade millions to get vaccinated.
“That practice had consequences, distorting the lived reality and the actual truth around these vaccines.”
If vaccination status was not being accurately captured in hospital records, Kory wants to know why, and what impact it had on the data presented to the American public.
