OPERATIONS “FACTORY” AND “JERICHO”: 43 ARRESTED AND A MAJOR BLOW TO THE CAPABILITIES OF ORGANIZED CRIME
The Ecuador Police, in coordination with @FiscaliaEcuador and with international cooperation from @DEAHQ and @Southcom , simultaneously executed Operations “Factory” and “Jericho,” aimed at undermining the operational, logistical, and economic capabilities of structures linked to Los Lobos and Los Choneros.
As a result of 36 raids conducted in #Guayas, #SantoDomingo, #ElOro, #LosRíos, #Manabí, and #Esmeraldas, the following joint results were obtained:
• 43 arrested, including alias “CC” and alias “León”
• Approximately 2.5 tons of controlled substances, considering the seizures made during the investigative processes
• More than 1 million in cash
• 25 firearms, both short and long
• Approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers
• 21 vehicles seized
• 2 clandestine airstrips identified
• 1 small aircraft seized
• Nearly 1,000 liters of aviation fuel
• 47 mobile terminals
• Ballistic protection vests
