He’s Also a Pathological Liar

One of Fauci’s most brazen lies on April 17, 2020, when he stood at the White House podium, was not even his pretense that he did not know who the Proximal Origin authors were, although that was an extraordinarily brazen lie in its own right.

It was his claim that the sequence of the Covid virus was “totally consistent” with natural evolution in bats.

That claim was not merely unsupported. It was impossible to know. No ancestral virus has ever been found, which means there is no evolutionary chain showing how SARS-CoV-2 supposedly developed in bats before reaching humans.

So even if we assume a natural origin, Fauci had no factual basis for claiming that the virus’s sequence was consistent with any known evolutionary pathway. In fact, the fraudulent Proximal Origin paper neither identifies a known ancestor of SARS-CoV-2 nor reconstructs a documented evolutionary pathway from a bat virus into SARS-CoV-2.

Fauci literally just made it all up on the fly.

Listen closely to his words in the clip below. It is remarkable, and frankly pathological, how he simply invents the claim on the spot and delivers it with such conviction, at least if you ignore the substance and focus entirely on the performance.

Looking back, it is genuinely frightening that one man could stand at the White House podium and simply make things up, while no one beyond a handful of people on Twitter challenged him.
