DRUG TRAFFICKING LEFT WITHOUT ROUTES

The @FuerzaAereaEc carried out a military operation to disable the "El Piedrero" airstrip, located in El Triunfo canton, Guayas province.

The intervention aims to prevent this area from being used for the landing of aircraft linked to illicit activities carried out by narcocriminal structures.

📌 So far in 2026, the Armed Forces have disabled 11 unauthorized areas and airstrips presumably used for illegal operations.

➡️ The order from the Ministry of National Defense, through Minister Gian Carlo Loffredo, is to intensify military operations to close down illicit routes, strike criminal economies, and regain control of the country's strategic zones.
