World Champions

… House, we should really consider hosting America’s greatest sport - the future 2026 rodeo world champions!! And one year later, @POTUS made it happen. ❤️

President Trump was truly the most gracious host and was so impressed with the incredible accomplishments AND the toughness and resilience to achieve at this level. So proud of these patriots who LOVE their country and LOVE their President. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ’ͺπŸ€”πŸ€

This one hits my heart - see 12 yr old me and my barrel pony Mini Q. My mom somehow scraped together $500 and I honestly thought we may go all the way. πŸ˜… Kassie Mowry - I can’t wait to come ride barrels with you!! (54 is a good age to pick it back up, right? πŸ€”)

God bless these rodeo champions.

Marking the first White House recognition of PRCA World Champions since the Reagan era, President Trump honored this year's champions yesterday! πŸ€ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The origins of the rodeo lie in the origins of America itself. The conquest of the continent required men who literally lived in the saddle — and could fight, work, and win from it. Horsemanship and handling cattle were not for show: they were for survival. There was no way to win the country without it. So they did — and we did.

The rodeo today is one of the most enjoyable and thrilling things we see. Bravery, skill, ingenuity, calculation, daring… it’s all there. But remember that what we see isn’t rooted in entertainment or spectacle. It’s rooted in the deepest parts of the American inheritance.

Because, not so far back in time, our country demanded men who knew how to ride a horse, handle a rope, and draw a gun on a lonely frontier, and the cowboy stepped up. When we watch the rodeo today, it is those dangerous yesterdays we recall.

These champions stand in that inheritance. And they’re worthy of it.
