… other intelligence community members, or former DOJ prosecutors.I have many reactions to J.P. Cooney running for Congress.

Oh let me count the ways .... To keep your attention, however, let me confine to just three for now:
1) At this rate, all of Virginia's seats will soon be infested by members of the House or Senate who are former CIA,… https://t.co/e0oNIaYaj4
Give me businesspeople, or ministers, or laborers who come from their communities any day over such Swamp creatures.
2) Cooney rails at Trump for breaking down the "wall of independence" between DOJ and the President. What he doesn't tell you is that there is no such wall in the Constitution, in federal statute, or in federal regulation. It's just a made-up post-Watergate "norm." So J.P. Cooney's knowledge of and appreciation for the Constitution is not worth the proverbial warm bucket of spit. We have never had -- and I pray never will -- have a constitutional amendment enshrining DOJ or the administrative state as a fourth branch of government.
I explain all of this in great detail here.
I prosecuted the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, and then Donald Trump himself.

One week after he took office again, he fired me.
Now I’m running for Congress to defend our democracy and restore the rule of law. pic.twitter.com/IcSAOlDxZU
