The FBI Buried It
The FBI was informed of the Clinton plan as early as March 2016. Deputy Director McCabe briefed senior DOJ officials on it. They sat on it — then used the same Steele Dossier they knew was fabricated to obtain FISA warrants on Carter Page. Durham concluded it was "a logical deduction" that Julianne Smith "was, at minimum, playing a role in the Clinton campaign's efforts to tie Trump to Russia." The FBI investigated Trump anyway.
