Israel Defense Forces, 2-3 March 2026

The Air Force completed a short time ago a wave of strikes targeting headquarters, weapons storage facilities, and satellite communication components of the Intelligence Headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Beirut area, which were used under civilian cover.

The attacked communication sites served the Hezbollah terrorist organization as terror infrastructures in which the organization used to carry out terror activities, intelligence gathering, and also served the organization for propaganda purposes.

All of the targets attacked are terror targets intended to serve the terrorist organization to advance and execute various terror plots against IDF forces and civilians of the State of Israel.

Prior to the strike, steps were taken to reduce the chance of harm to civilians, including advance warnings, use of precision munitions, and aerial observations.

The IDF is acting forcefully against the decision of the Hezbollah terrorist organization to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian terror regime and will not allow harm to civilians of the State of Israel and residents of the North in particular.

In a swift closing of the circle within a matter of minutes, an Air Force aircraft struck the launcher from which the launches toward the Golan were carried out.

The IDF continues to operate with force against the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which decided to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian regime.

… intelligence.

The leaders behind this terror regime, and the headquarters in which they sat, have been eliminated.

Under the precise guidance of Military Intelligence, the Air Force struck overnight at security regime buildings within the leadership compound of the Iranian terror regime in the heart of Tehran.

In the strike on the compound, numerous munitions were dropped on the Presidential Office and the building of the Supreme National Security Council. In addition, the gathering compound of the regime's highest forum, responsible for making security decisions, as well as the institution for training Iranian military officers along with other valuable infrastructures, were attacked.

The leadership compound of the terror regime is one of the most heavily guarded assets in Iran and spans many streets in the heart of Tehran. The leadership and security elements of the terror regime frequently gathered in the compound and from there, among other things, managed situation assessments on the Iranian nuclear program and the advancement of the plan to destroy the State of Israel.

The compound served the leader of the Iranian terror regime who was eliminated, Ali Khamenei, and infrastructures used to manage attacks against the State of Israel, to direct and finance the regime's terror proxies, were stored within it.

The compound was attacked following a prolonged process of intelligence gathering and research conducted by Military Intelligence.

This is the most important and central headquarters for the Iranian terror regime; its strike deepens the damage to the operational continuity of the regime's command and control systems.

… Assembly of Experts must elect a successor "as soon as possible," but the strike delays that—it's unclear how many of the 88 were present/killed. The council can govern indefinitely if needed; survivors can reconvene elsewhere or trigger new processes. Major disruption and instability, yes—but the Islamic Republic's framework holds via built-in backups.
