Reaction to the Killing of Cartel Leader “El Mencho”

Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho", founder and supreme leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, was taken down by federal forces this Sunday, February 22.

Top-level officials confirmed that "El Mencho" was taken down in Jalisco in an operation led by the Army.

… city, and tourists ordered to shelter in place as factions go wild in retaliation. Total chaos.

Critical: There are currently American citizens at a major resort in the area right now trapped, unable to reach the airport, and caught in the crossfire.

This is a DIRECT THREAT to U.S. lives.

👆 At the Ixtapa prison in Puerto Vallarta there was a prisoner escape, at least 2 guards are reported dead and there are several roadblocks. The Mexican army has already arrived at the scene.
