They also specify that Araya maintained direct ties with the criminal leader and used DJ tours in Colombia to generate money that ended up in the criminal structure. Additionally, her companies and six other key operators of the gang were sanctioned.
The Department of the Treasury stated that the decision aims to cut off the finances of Tren de Aragua, while the State Department raised the reward to 5 million dollars for another of its leaders.
