“Melania,” directed by “Rush Hour” auteur Brett Ratner and licensed by Amazon as part of a whopping $40 million deal signed this past January, will follow the Slovenia-born former model during the 20 days leading up to her husband Donald’s inauguration as the 47th president of the United States.
The first lady is credited as an executive producer on the doc after Page Six reported that she insisted on — and was granted — “control and approval” over the project.
Amazon founder and executive chairman Jeff Bezos also “took a personal interest” in the film, with a source saying his efforts helped the billionaire “get back on friendly terms” with the president.
