The army couldn’t restrict them to stay on the installation, despite being told they had to wait for their paperwork to process, so hundreds (if not thousands) of military aged males, many whose identities were completely unknown, just wondered off base into the greater Wisconsin area without any follow up.

It was a nightmare scenario then, and we’re only beginning to see the true reflections of the consequences of what the last administration did.
