Fajardo, a U.S.-born citizen, has made her allegiance crystal clear — not to the United States, but to Mexico.
But it gets even more outrageous. In a jaw-dropping twist, she called for help — and Mayor of Waukegan Sam Cunningham actually showed up to the scene. Instead of supporting law enforcement, he tried to de-escalate the arrest… and even offered her valet parking for her car.

The chaos you see in the viral video wasn’t random — it was 23-year-old Dariana Fajardo, a self-described “activist” who’s been harassing and obstructing ICE and CBP officers for… pic.twitter.com/xVtI1h1RLK
According to authorities, Fajardo used her vehicle as a weapon to block an active investigation. When officers moved in, she started screaming:
“Do you have a warrant!? Don’t touch me! You’re illegally arresting me! I didn’t do nothing wrong!”
Officers repeatedly told her:
“Ma’am, step out of the car… You’re resisting! Stop resisting!”
But Fajardo continued shouting for help:
“Sam! Sam!” — calling out to Mayor Sam Cunningham, who actually came over to the scene trying to “help” her.
Yes, the mayor.
Mayor Cunningham: “Let me talk to her. I’m going to take your car someplace… you’ll know where to get it. Just give me a call.”
Even as ICE officers warned him it was an active law enforcement situation, Cunningham persisted:
“I understand that, sir… I’m just letting her know.”
Fajardo’s meltdown continued:
“They’re harassing me! They’re illegally arresting me! I’m a citizen!”
She even broadcast her phone number on camera —
“Call my dad! 224-629-****! Call my dad!” — turning the arrest into a circus of onlookers and activists screaming “They’re destroying the city!”
