School Lunch in Italy

… nutritional framework that promotes children’s well-being.

The approach to lunch in Italian schools extends beyond nutrition, aiming to educate children about food sources, cooking, food preparation, and the cultural significance of meals, which is deeply interwoven with Italian heritage.

In the UK it is very different and not in a good way. So many school meals are from huge corporations supplying ultra processed food. And growing and cooking food is not part of so many school curriculums. For the sake of national health, the UK should adopt the Italian approach to food - on so many different levels.
