In the lame-duck session after Democrats lost the White House and Senate on November 5, 2024, Senate Democrats confirmed Ali on November 20 with a vote of 50-49.
In one of his first judicial acts, Judge Amir Hatem Mahdy Ali llegally ordered the President of the United States to send out $2 billion in "foreign aid" over the President's order to pause the dispursement to perform a national-security review.
Are we funding, for example, Hamas terrorists who are killing Americans--under the guise of "Gaza humanitarian relief"?
In a major victory for President Trump and the presidency, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit just slapped down Judge Ali's lawlessness.
Now the House must take out of the federal judiciary's budget the $2 billion Judge Ali illegally ordered to get misspent.
