I’m thankful that I will finally get to vote on several DOGE cuts that my DOGE Subcommittee led the fight to defund.

We held hearings on USAID and NPR and CPB and recommended defunding these programs completely.
These DOGE recession cuts can’t happen fast enough! pic.twitter.com/Ix405myplW
… there are rules that DOGE cuts go under because these are recission bills. Once they are passed in the House, the clock starts in the Senate and they only have 45 days to pass it or we can’t do it again. Apparently the Senate calendar is very full because they are still working on Pres Trump’s nominations and other legislative work like Pres Trump’s OBBB.Not me, I don’t schedule the votes. Can’t vote on DOGE cuts fast enough.

However, I’ve heard several things.
One, that they are whipping votes to make sure the DOGE cuts pass. I know it’s mind numbing to think that some R’s wouldn’t vote to cut NPR/PBS (CPB) and USAID!
Also,…
Congress functions under arbitrary rules that make accomplishing anything virtually impossible. I spent two decades running a company where we could do anything to serve our customers, but here where “it takes an act of Congress” serving our customers, the American people, we are working with our hands tied behind our back most of the time because of all the rules.
The rules really make Congress ineffective and broken.
