The “border bill” they love to talk about would have watered down the law by normalizing their defiance of it. Yes, the bill also included some more resources/money for border control—but those resources are needed only because they unleashed this migrant tsunami in the first place. The border catastrophe is not fundamentally a problem of resources but of Biden/Harris executive policy. They should at least have the decency to acknowledge and defend their policy instead of trying to pretend that they were “tough” on the border, which is obviously untrue.
